What I Found There
My life of late, has been a profound season of encountering my own humanity. Here is a space where I will continue to creatively engage with the unfolding implications of my life story, as it is written.

Who am I?
In the fall of 2023, I received an unexpected diagnosis of a rare, and optimistically treatable form of Cancer. Over the next few months, I decided to open up my reflections and observations from this season of drift. It was a form of personal reflective therapy. Trying to mine complicated seasons for instances of life and light is a work of contemplative awareness. Is there the smallest flicker of light on even the darkest night? Is that light made more bright by the darkness that surrounds it? I think it can so often be so.
I wanted to craft a space where I could share these reflections, as a commitment to the practice of writing, reflecting and meaning-making. I’m sure not all of this will resonate with every reader, but if I can in some small way make articulate all those feelings and thoughts that can feel so profoundly inarticulate.
Can I make useful the clumsy steps I have taken, the roads I have gotten lost down, the hope I have returned to? I cannot say for sure, but here are a few words, like lights along the way, leading us home.
This is what I found there.
